When you experience a death, suicide, trauma or other biohazard related incident it is important to know the reasons why you should always hire a certified biohazard cleanup company like Bio Scene Clean Up.
Most people don’t understand when incidents occur it is not only traumatizing for the family members but a huge risk of contracting health compromising diseases from blood and other pathogens that are associated with a scene. Most people believe that a biohazard scene can be cleaned using bleach and other household products and this is the main reason they don’t understand what we do and why it’s important.
Biohazards related to blood, bodily fluids and remains of a scene have to be cleaned using industrial grade chemicals, special equipment and techniques only known to trained or certified professionals. Bio Scene Clean Up maintains certifications in biohazard cleanup, removal, waste disposal and other services areas that can ensure your trauma scene is restored to a healthy, inhabitable condition.
In most cases the full health details of a victim are not known. Every biohazard scene must be handled with extreme caution as though it contained infectious diseases or other pathogens that can be harmful or deadly to someone who is not trained to clean up biohazards.
If you or someone you know experiences a death, suicide or blood spill related trauma, contact our team of professionals for certified cleanup at once. In most cases insurance companies will cover the cost of professional biohazard clean up and it is important that you know the facts about remaining safe when experiencing the responsibility of dealing with biohazard cleaning.

Florida Suicide Cleanup Services

Bio Scene Clean Up only employs compassionate certified technicians who work diligently to assist friends and family members of suicide victims with professional, safe cleanup and restoration of the death scene. We understand the emotional trauma and our suicide cleanup services are discreet and we provide unmarked vehicles for the cleanup and removal of any biohazard materials.
As with any death scene requiring professional biohazard cleanup services, suicide scenes are often very difficult to clean. Blood and other bodily fluids or matter are often spread over a large portion of the incident site and these biohazards are difficult to see or find. In addition to the emotional toll this takes on a friend of family member, we do not suggest that anyone attempt to cleanup a suicide scene.
Even trace elements of blood, fluids or tissues can carry pathogens that may be potentially dangerous to your health. If a biohazard area is attempted to be cleaned by an untrained person, there is a huge potential for contamination of health risks after the improper cleanup is performed.
In many instances, insurance companies will cover the cost of professional suicide cleanup services in Florida. Bio Scene Clean Up is experts in insurance claims and we are able to assist victim’s family members in filing claims and understanding insurance processes. We are also familiar with other agencies and services that offer assistance when a tragic event like suicide occurs.

Suicide Cleanup and the Holidays
Holidays are supposed to be a time of great joy and celebration. For many of us they are, but for many people they are anything but joyous. Persons who suffer from depression and mental illness have extreme highs and lows around the holidays. Suicide because of stress and anxiety is something that we don’t want to think of during this time, but we need to learn what to look for and how to help these patients cope.
Bio Scene Clean Up provides Suicide and Death Clean Up services to victims of crime, trauma and tragedy. We understand the stress and bombardments that media places on people during this time of the year. We work directly with family members and property owners who are faced with the responsibility of these types of traumatic events that require biohazard clean up. We maintain decades of experience in compassionate, discreet and professional services for these situations.
While it’s true suicides tend to drop off right before and during the holidays, there is a 40 percent increase immediately following the holidays. Every year at this time we try to remind our readers about suicide and the devastating effects it can have on those left behind. Sadly, we still receive calls for emergency response suicide and death cleanup.
If you or someone you know is faced with the aftermath of a suicide or death contact us for assistance. We offer emergency response and are available to help if needed. For more information regarding suicide and what you can do to help, contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or visit them online at www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org

Suicide Cleanup Services
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention statistics show that there are over 34,000 suicides in the United States every year. It is the third leading cause of death among young adults aged 15 to 28, and the fourth leading cause of death for those aged 18 to 65.
Those who have not experienced a suicide in the family, the needless loss of a sibling or child, cannot imagine the grief and pain the family suffers. Trying to clean such a tragic scene can be a hardship far beyond measure. While no one likes to think of their own home as a biohazard, in extreme circumstances it may be emotionally traumatizing or physically unwise to tackle a cleaning job by yourself.
After an accident, suicide or death occurs and the dead or injured have been taken away, it’s often companies like Bio Scene Clean Up that are brought in to clean up the scene. Frequently we are called to the home of a person who died alone and whose body wasn't found for weeks. Bio Scene Clean Up provides clean up services dealing with blood, human decomposition, excrement and any other type of biological hazard.
Our main objective is to remove all contaminated material from a home, business or automobile and restore it to a biologically safe state. Bio Scene staff members arrive at a scene, assess the extent of the cleaning and then compose a plan of action and implement it. From start to finish, we are on site to complete the tasks, right down to ensuring removal of materials from the biohazard disposal unit.
With corporate offices St Petersburg, Florida we are able to serve the entire state with professional & compassionate suicide clean up services. Contact our staff today for a confidential assessment of how we can restore a scene for you. Choosing the right Biohazard Cleaning Company
Having been in the Crime Scene and biohazard clean up industry for over a decade, Bio Scene Clean Up has performed cleanup at hundreds of Crime, Trauma, Death & Suicide scenes. Surprisingly, several of the jobs we’ve performed were as a result of non-reputable cleaning companies who did not follow proper protocols and techniques when cleaning these scenes.
If crime, trauma, suicide and other biohazard scenes are not properly cleaned, weeks, months, and even a year later clients have reported horrible odors, infestations of bugs, stains and other problems that all stem from the fact that the original cleaning company did not properly remediate. Always hire a professional biohazard cleanup company like Bio Scene Clean Up.
How do you know if you are hiring a legitimate clean up company? Here are a few tips:
1. Work with a reputable provider – Usually law enforcement officials have a point of contact for a local company that can provide quality services.
2. Research multiple companies – There are tons of cleaning companies out there, but you need to make sure the company you choose is certified in biohazard clean up and disposal. In most cases local companies offer better rates and do a better job.
3. Discuss with your insurance company –Call your insurance company immediately to inquire about coverage. Your homeowners insurance may cover all or part of your cleaning service, while you may not be able to immediately find out exactly what the coverage is, you can ask if this is a covered loss. You have the right to choose any company you prefer if this is a covered loss.
4. If your loss is not covered by insurance, speak directly with your clean up company to learn costs, procedures and payment arrangements.
Not all companies are the same. Bio Scene Clean Up is certified and experienced in all facets of biohazard cleanup from Death, Trauma, Suicide and Crime scenes. Building a reputation in the biohazard clean up industry takes hard work, dedication and it’s not something that just anyone can do. Bio Scene Clean Up has provided these professional, compassionate services for over a decade throughout the northeastern United States. We’ve worked on hundreds of jobs in these fields and some even relating to meth labs, hoarding, animals, gross filth and negligence and more. Contact our office immediately if you have a situation that requires this type of cleaning. Never attempt to clean these scenes on your own. It will put your health and the health of others at a much greater risk.

Gun crimes and accidents are rapidly climbing toward the top 5 death causes
Did you know in 2010 guns took the lives of 31,076 Americans in homicides, suicides and unintentional shootings? Did you also know that in the first seven years of the US-Iraq war about 4,400 American soldiers were killed. These statistics, although a few years old, show that deaths involving guns are becoming an epidemic. 31,076 deaths in one year equates to approximately 85 deaths each day and more than 3 deaths per hour.
Bio Scene Clean Up specializes in the cleanup of death, murder, suicide and other tragic events that contain biohazard materials. With firearms being the third leading cause of injury related deaths after poisoning and motor vehicle accidents, we receive calls frequently from organizations, law enforcement and individuals who find themselves being responsible for the cleanup of the aftermath of these tragedies. Florida crime has increased drastically over the past decade and we find that there are a significantly higher rate of gun owners in 2014. With that comes more homicides, suicides and accidental deaths requiring our services.
Whenever there is an incident involving shootings, no matter the reason, there is always the presence of blood and other biohazard matter that needs to be remediated in order to protect the health and safety of others in or around the scene. Who are Crime Scene Cleaners ?

Who are these people? What are their lives like? And How do they do this type of work? Are the questions that may come to mind when reading this article. Bio Scene Clean Up is trained in the clean up and decontamination of these types of biohazards, returning the scene to the normal state it was prior to the incident occurring.
For over a decade, we’ve been responsible for cleaning thousands of scenes ranging from suicide, gunshots, stabbings, violent home intrusions, vehicular accidents and even jail cells or police cars that contain blood, urine, feces and other biohazards. We are specifically trained in the removal, cleaning, disinfecting and sometimes remodeling that is necessary to restore these scenes. After authorities and medical personnel are gone, it’s typically the property owners responsibility to clean up the aftermath of the incident. As we’ve discussed in previous articles, this poses a significant health threat to the person cleaning and also those around or in contact with a contaminated scene. Special precautions must be followed, equipment used and waste properly disposed (often times with special permits) in order to ensure the safety of all involved.
Bio Scene Clean Up offers professional, compassionate services that aide property owners in cleaning and remediation of any form of biohazard. Our trained technicians can assist property owners with the necessary paperwork for insurance claims and can provide remodeling services for scenes that require physical elements to be permanently removed from a location. We have experience working in maximum security environments and are skilled at minimizing the visual exposure to onlookers or public when necessary.
Biohazard technicians that clean these types of scenes for a living are unique individuals who are passionate about helping clients through a very traumatic time. They are dedicated in restoring scenes to safe environments and protecting the people involved. These cleaners see sometimes horrible scenes and visually experience things that no one should ever have to see. Every technician is different and deals with the afterthoughts of their job in different ways. In many ways they are just like everyone else, but in their own way are often quiet in nature, reserved and don’t talk about the work that they do. It’s hard not to have emotional challenges when seeing some of the scenes that require our services but in most cases the desire to help our clients through the trauma and return their lives to some form of normalcy helps negate their emotional states.

Is there a common connection in Bankers committing suicide?
![]() |

Most bankers start their career at a very early age and fight to rise to the top of their industry. If they only knew that their rise to the top only numbered their days. It’s a stressful and very volatile position that can take its toll on the mental state of mind of these professionals, and the common and unfortunate end result seems to be suicide.
Bio Scene Clean Up gets calls to perform the clean up and bio-hazardous remediation in scenes like this frequently. Suicides (accidents in the workplace) are more common than anyone would imagine. Our technicians are experienced in trauma, death, suicide and murder / crime scenes. From blood removal, to clean up of bodily fluids and matter, we perform these tasks discreetly and with the utmost confidentiality. We realize the importance of restoring these scenes and getting the area back to a normal, functioning condition as soon as possible. It’s an emotional time and we work diligently to provide expedient services that do not impede the normal business activities.
These cases are all sad and tragic incidents and Bio Scene Clean Up is experienced in working with authorities and professionals in work places to help keep the trauma of co-workers or co-tenants to a minimum, while resorting the accident scenes. We provide 24 hour, 7 day per week emergency dispatch to these types of scenes.
Because of the recent rise of suspected and know suicides among banking executives, we have to wonder what the direct relating cause is. Recently, more and more larger financial institutions have insisted on executives taking more time off and providing better working conditions and benefits for their employees. Our company is always disturbed by receiving calls to scenes of such promising, often very young victims of suicide.
For more information on suicide preventions, please refer to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Contact our office for more information about the services we provide and how we can help.

The dangers of synthetic marijuana uses and who’s affected
Synthetic marijuana is marketed as a legal “high” in today’s society and the deaths and serious Illnesses from its use are on the rise. Commonly called Spice, No More Mr. Nice Guy and K2 ( or hundreds of others ) these drugs are legally marketed for sale and can be obtained by most everyone in neighborhood convenience stores, smoke shops and other retailers across the US.
Although marketed as a legal marijuana in reality it’s very different from the natural cannabis that smokers enjoy. The synthetic version contains powerful chemicals called “cannabimimetics” that can cause serious health effects and possibly death. These drugs are not tested for safety and uses have no idea what they are putting into their bodies when using them. In addition to the synthetic drugs being highly addictive, health effects from the drugs can be serious and possibly fatal and have symptoms including:
• Nausea and vomiting
• Increased heart rate and higher blood pressure
• Agitation and Anxiety
• Seziures, Tremors and muscle spasms
•Hallucinations and psychotic episodes
• Suicidal and harmful thoughts & actions
This drug is wreaking havoc on our youth especially and has been labeled by many state and federal government officials as a public health risk and a hazard to public safety. There has been a huge influx of calls to poison centers in the past 2 years yet this drug remains an unattended problem.
Bio Scene Clean Up offers services that deal with the trauma and clean up of deaths associated from this and other drug uses. We are also trained to clean up meth labs and other biohazard areas which may be contaminated by illegal drug manufacturing and the deaths and trauma associated with it.
If you know someone who is using this or other illegal drugs we urge you to seek help for these individuals immediately. Should you find yourself in need of our decontamination, death or suicide clean up services, contact our office immediately. We have technicians standing by to provide services 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

Why the costs of Murder and Violent Crime Scene Cleanup are expensive.
If someone dies as a result of a violent crime, murder or suicide in a residence or place of business, the burden of clean up typically falls on the property owner. Obviously this is a traumatic task that few people are willing to undertake themselves. But why are the costs for cleanup of these scenes so expensive?
Biohazard cleanup companies like Bio Scene Clean Up guarantee the scene will be restored to it’s original pre-incident state after the victim has been removed from the scene. There are several factors that determine the amount of time and services that our clients need. These factors are usually:
• How long was the death unattended
• Where it happened
• What type of scene it is (How it happened)
• What elements are in the scene where it occurred
If the body was in a decomposing state when removed, the cleanup is even more challenging because insects move into the body after death and may still be in the scene area after the body is removed by a coroner. It’s customary to also have body fluids, liquefied skin and organ tissues that have soaked into carpeting, flooring or other surfaces in contact with the scene. The most difficult task is generally remediation of the smell from the scene as the body will release ammonia gases that permeate these areas and can linger for months.
Our technicians are required to wear protective suits and respirators and utilize OSHA and EPA compliant chemicals to decontaminate these areas. Special equipment is used and all waste materials must be properly placed in safety sealed bags and disposed of. This usually requires obtaining permits from local officials with specific directives on how the waste is to be transported and disposed. Sometimes, medical-waste incinerators need to be used for this type of disposal.
Once the initial cleaning has been performed, it is necessary for Bio Scene Clean Up to inspect every detail of these scenes utilizing special instruments and equipment to search for even the smallest trace elements of contamination (not seen with the visible eye). This inspection helps determine if the scene will need our construction crews to remove flooring, walls, insulation or other structural materials in effort to ensure proper cleaning for the safety of our clients.
As you can see from just a few short paragraphs, bio hazard cleaning and decontamination of these types of scenes is more than a simple wash down with bleach. Obtaining permits, disposal charges, and construction costs are common factors that dictate what cleanup charges will be.
Depending on the circumstances, property owners may have coverage options through property insurance policies. In this regard, most companies will provide a service that handles all the paperwork for filing a claim. If insurance coverage is not available, they can also help their clients in contacting various charitable or religious organizations that can provide financial assistance.

ODOR REMOVAL CONDISERATIONS FROM DEATH CLEAN UP

What we’ll need to know:
1. Were did the death occur, and what elements are directly connected to the death scene? For instance, did the person die in a bed, on a carpeted floor, in a bathtub or a car? Death clean up requires decontamination of furniture, flooring, fabrics and virtually any porous surfaces related to the scene. In certain cases, it may also be necessary to remove and replace walls, ceilings, sub flooring and possibly insulation.
2. How long has it been since the death occurred? If the death was an accident, suicide or an elderly person and not discovered immediately, the cleanup process is more entailed as most likely decomposition has started. We would need to follow specific cleaning processes using chemicals, antimicrobial cleaners and ozone or neutralizing agents. Ozone is commonly used in death cleanup because of it’s quick reaction to carbon based molecules associated with death odors. It’s a highly useful tool but not a guarantee that it will completely get rid of the odor.
At Bioscene Clean Up, we take every measure to safe and effectively remediate these scenes with as minimal disruption as possible. Our cleanup technicians are trained to provide our clients with the emotional support needed during these types of tasks. The unattended death of a friend or loved one is never something that anyone is prepared to handle. The emotions and questions that are brought on by this tragic event can make it difficult to determine what to do next.
Our goal is to offer clients the assurance that our work will completely restore the scene to a pre-incident condition and we are dedicated to the protection and safety of our clients. Hiring the proper cleanup company is difficult, after we analyze the scene, we provide a full plan of action and work directly with our clients through each step of the process. Contact us today for more information about the services we offer.

What happens after the Crime Scene Investigators leave?
Most people think that the same individuals investigating a crime or trauma scene are also the ones that clean up the scene once their work is complete but this is not the case. Once police and investigators collect their evidence or emergency workers have left the scene, everything else is left behind.
Who’s responsibility is it to clean up the aftermath of these scenes? In short, the property owner is responsible for the cleanup. Any remains, medical waste, blood, tissues etc left behind must be properly cleaned up. This is where we come in. Bio Scene Clean Up provides professional cleaning services for Death, Trauma, Suicide, Medical Emergency and many other biohazard scenes. We are trained and experienced in the proper protocols to return your property to a before incident state. Utilizing special equipment, we are trained to discover all hidden biohazards and re-mediate
the scene so it’s returned to a safe environment for the property owner. These scenes contain many minute trace elements of pathogens and bacteria that cause odors, bugs and breed infections spores that can be harmful or fatal if not properly removed. We never suggest that an untrained individual attempt to clean a scene like this because of the high potential health risks.
The use of industrial biohazard cleaning chemicals and proper tools are needed to ensure these items are removed from surfaces and the air in the property. If an untrained individual attempts to improperly clean the scene, they also put others at risk who may come in contact with these materials and airborne pathogens.
In addition to experience and training, our staff members are also accustomed to dealing with family members and property owners during this highly emotional time. We provide professional, compassionate services and work expediently to remove hazards and restore the property to a good state. We are familiar with proper processes such as obtaining disposal permits and working with insurance companies to provide information pertaining to the claims filing process.
Contact our office immediately if you have an incident that requires clean up. Although it may seem basic in nature, biohazards are often unnoticeable by the human eye and can still pose health threats for many months after an incident if not properly re-mediated.
