Automobile Blood Removal Services

Whether you are involved in an auto accident or experience a violent crime like gun violence or stabbing, blood in an automobile can be just as dangerous as any other scene. Bio Scene Clean Up provides blood and biohazard removal from automobiles, homes, businesses and outdoor properties. With nearly two decades of experience, we are a certified biohazard cleanup company.

Blood, when making contact with materials inside of your car, can remain invisible for weeks to months after an incident or trauma occurs. On the surface, if you clean this yourself, you may think that you’ve completely removed all traces of blood and any biohazards but you have not.  When not properly cleaned and removed, blood can still contain infectious pathogens that remain alive and harmful for sometimes long periods of time after it’s exposed to air.

Weeks to months after an incident involving blood, you can experience horrific odors, infestation of bugs and stains that keep returning. Our trained technicians are able to completely remove all traces of blood and biohazards from your automobile. In some cases parts of your car’s interior or exterior may need to be completely removed and replaced.

The same applies to blood from animals as well. Often times people fail to remember that animals can carry potentially dangerous diseases that humans can contract through contact with animal blood and bodily fluids. These types of biohazards need to be cleaned and removed by a professional company like Bio Scene Clean Up as well.

If you have experienced an accident or trauma with your vehicle, contact us immediately for clean up service. The faster the affected areas can be decontaminated and cleaned, the easier and more cost effective it is for you.

Why are bioremediation costs so high?

Most people associate remediation with the same type of cleanup that is found for fire or water loss however, when bioremediation (blood and biohazard cleanup) is needed as a result of a suicide, murder, unattended death or traumatic incident these situations pose a greater risk for the property owner and cleanup crews.

Bioremediation and decontamination services should always be performed by certified companies that specialize in the cleanup of blood, biohazard and infectious materials. In order to minimize risk of possible contamination to other areas or people and to ensure the safety of the property owner. Bio Scene Clean Up performs certified biohazard cleanup and decontamination services. We follow proper protocols established by State and Federal agencies

Because of these strict guidelines and protocols for proper biohazard disposal the costs associated with bioremediation are significantly higher. The cost of obtaining proper permits, training and equipment used for these types of cleanup jobs are all factors in the total costs associated with the cleanup job. Depending on the size scene that needs remediation, will also determine the cost of the job.

Cleanup of blood, bodily fluids and biohazards from death, murder and suicides scenes is the most common service that we provide. Property owners should realize that not hiring a certified biohazard cleanup company like Bio Scene Clean Up can result in their being liable due to health compromises or harm to others as a result of any improper cleanup.

The health status/condition of persons associated with the cause of biohazard are not known.  One out of every 24 people has Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or HIV and these pathogens can survive in a deceased person for up to 16 days after death. Exposure to these and other harmful pathogens can occur from splashes of blood, inhalation and other biological fragments that are found at these types of scenes.

Ordinary restoration companies like the ones that handle fire or flood damage are not required to follow the same cleanup, removal and disposal guidelines as companies associated with the cleanup and handling of blood or biohazard materials.  Because of this our company maintains all necessary permits and only allows technicians who are specially trained in biohazard cleanup and handling to perform jobs. This helps ensure the safety of our clients or anyone who may come in contact with the affected areas.

If you need bioremediation and decontamination services contact our office at once to make sure you’re protected.

Who are Crime Scene Cleaners ?

Who is responsible for the cleanup of Crime, Death, Trauma, Suicide and other Biohazard scenes is often not thought about.  We all see the news or hear about these victims and sometimes horrific things happening, but the thought of who actually cleans up or decontaminates these types of scenes is not thought about.

Who are these people? What are their lives like? And How do they do this type of work? Are the questions that may come to mind when reading this article.  Bio Scene Clean Up is trained in the clean up and decontamination of these types of biohazards, returning the scene to the normal state it was prior to the incident occurring.

For over a decade, we’ve been responsible for cleaning thousands of scenes ranging from suicide, gunshots, stabbings, violent home intrusions, vehicular accidents and even jail cells or police cars that contain blood, urine, feces and other biohazards. We are specifically trained in the removal, cleaning, disinfecting and sometimes remodeling that is necessary to restore these scenes.  After authorities and medical personnel are gone, it’s typically the property owners responsibility to clean up the aftermath of the incident.  As we’ve discussed in previous articles, this poses a significant health threat to the person cleaning and also those around or in contact with a contaminated scene. Special precautions must be followed, equipment used and waste properly disposed (often times with special permits) in order to ensure the safety of all involved.

Bio Scene Clean Up offers professional, compassionate services that aide property owners in cleaning and remediation of any form of biohazard. Our trained technicians can assist property owners with the necessary paperwork for insurance claims and can provide remodeling services for scenes that require physical elements to be permanently removed from a location. We have experience working in maximum security environments and are skilled at minimizing the visual exposure to onlookers or public when necessary.

Biohazard technicians that clean these types of scenes for a living are unique individuals who are passionate about helping clients through a very traumatic time. They are dedicated in restoring scenes to safe environments and protecting the people involved.  These cleaners see sometimes horrible scenes and visually experience things that no one should ever have to see.  Every technician is different and deals with the afterthoughts of their job in different ways. In many ways they are just like everyone else, but in their own way are often quiet in nature, reserved and don’t talk about the work that they do. It’s hard not to have emotional challenges when seeing some of the scenes that require our services but in most cases the desire to help our clients through the trauma and return their lives to some form of normalcy helps negate their emotional states.

Violent home invasions and the trauma scenes that can be left behind

Home invasions are bad enough, but when the event turns violent, can leave behind horrible trauma scenes. Home invasions turned violent can include things like stabbings, blood and tissue matter from fighting and in the worst cases even death.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides services for crime, death and trauma scene clean up. We are experienced in blood clean up, removal of biohazard elements like blood  stained materials, body fluids and tissues from death scenes and home renovations that may be necessary to return the scene to a decontaminated safe area for the property owner.  Our company also provides additional services that relate to drug clean up and decontamination for incidents relating to this matter.

Ordinarily, when these types of crimes and traumas happen, it is the responsibility of the property owner to clean up the mess of the disaster left behind. Depending on the incident, there are organizations that assist with the costs of cleaning and remediating these scenes. Some insurance companies also pay for these services.

Bio Scene Clean Up has experience in working with these agencies and insurance companies to help the process go smoother.  We also realize that these traumatic events can be emotionally overwhelming to our clients. We provide discreet professional services and have the utmost compassion when dealing with victims and their families.  Because of the potential dangers and diseases that can be transmitted through cleaning these scenes, it’s important that you hire a professional company to perform these tasks. With every scene, there are trace elements of contamination and even airborne pathogens that can cause serious illness and sometimes be fatal if not handled properly.

We maintain the appropriate equipment and qualifications to perform these services and are accustomed to following OSHA and EPA guidelines on the jobs we perform.  We are also familiar with obtaining the necessary permits for disposal and other tasks that may need to be performed depending on where the incident occurs.  If you are in need of our services or would like additional information about the services we perform, please contact our office today.

Domestic Violence in Florida – Some things you should know

In this line of work we often get calls for biohazard clean up where there was a presence of domestic violence.  Over the past decade the amount of domestic violence cases has drastically increased and the severity of these crimes often ends in a tragic death that could have possibly been avoided.

www.fcadv.org/‎

If you know someone who is a victim of domestic violence or are a victim yourself, there are resources that can help. Agencies like Florida Department of Children and Families and the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence have programs that can help victims of domestic violence.  There is a common misconception that domestic violence only happens against women. These cases can include children and men who are involved in volatile, abusive relationships.  These agencies have programs that can offer assistance, counseling, emergency housing and other services. There are also legal representatives that can assist you in the process of taking legal action as a victim.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides biohazard clean up from these types of crimes, death, suicide and other accident scenes.  Anytime there is a presence of blood and other matter that needs to be remediated from these scenes, you should always protect yourself and the health of all people involved by hiring a certified cleanup company to properly clean up these biohazards.  Sadly, many domestic violence cases turn into violet murder crimes or suicide scenes and these are the most common scenes we are hired for.

We provide information like this in effort to promote stopping domestic violence in Florida.  If you or someone you know needs help, we urge you to contact the appropriate agencies for your safety.  Domestic violence charges in Florida carry stiff penalties and most all cases involve imprisonment. If you are reading this article and feel as though you are in a situation that is even “questionable” contact the agencies above today. If you are a victim and in need of our services, please contact our office for more information on our biohazard clean up services and other resources to help.

The Fun & Dangerous Mix of Spring Break in Florida

For decades spring break has been a huge draw to the Florida beaches where we see miles of college students (and some old timers) in a full blown drunken party mode that lasts for days. The question like with whether Spring Break is safe or actually too dangerous for most that attend?

Reality shows like MTV and other popular media glamorize the whole phenomenon of spring breakers to increase ratings and of course profit margins. But, the reality is Spring Break is a time of increased sexually transmitted diseases, drugs and binge drinking that leads to many young people dying each year.

Bio Scene Clean Up services receives numerous calls each year during the spring break season to provide biohazard clean up services.  We’ve been employed to clean up trashed hotel rooms filled with urine, feces, blood and the remains of drugs and other biohazards from local hotels, private rental residences and even public law enforcement vehicle clean up services have been requested.

We specialize in the cleanup, blood, death & suicide scenes and other biohazard related to these types of ongoing parties that happen nationwide each spring. Over the past several years we’ve seen a steady increase in calls for our services and it doesn’t appear that it will lessen anytime soon.

Statistics show that it is common for guys to have in excess of 18 alcoholic drinks and girls in excess of 10 in short periods of time.  These types of drinkers are the typical candidates for unprotected sex, sexually transmitted diseases, drug overdoses and even crime and death scenes.  This poses the question of safety versus the fun times that the media portrays.

If you own a commercial or residential property that is rented during spring break in Florida contact our office to learn more about the services that we provide and we can help with your biohazard incidents that you may experience from your renters and guests. Our goal is to promote clean, safe environments for our Florida residents.

National rise of suicide in the workplace

In past data collected, specifically from 2010 and 2011 census information, the United States Bureau of Labor shows a significant increase of workplace suicides.  As difficult as these types of scenarios may be, it’s important for employers and property owners take every precaution to protect co-workers and tenants.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides death, trauma, suicide and biohazard cleanup services in workplaces, public buildings and private residential properties.

Whenever a trauma like this occurs there is immediate danger to others in proximity to the accident scene.  It’s imperative that property owners contact a professional, certified biohazard cleanup company like Bio Scene Clean Up to perform the tasks of cleaning and disinfecting the scene immediately.  Attempting to clean a scene that has a presence of blood, tissues and other bodily fluids or matter can pose a huge legal liability if not properly remediated.

When proper protocol and cleanup techniques are not followed, there may be trace elements of blood, tissue, matter and fluids that are not visible to the human eye.  These elements can cause airborne pathogens that can be ingested by others causing serious if not fatal complications.  There are major risks of infection and disease from these elements and most likely horrid odors that will keep recurring if they were only masked at clean up.  Each of these factors can be a potential legal matter in the event that an employee or tenant becomes ill as a result of inadequate removal and remediation of these scenes.

Bio Scene Clean Up is certified in the removal of blood, tissue, body fluids and matter associated with suicides and death. We are also capable of removal of all components that may be affected by the trauma and can perform total rehab construction on the affected areas. Please follow our blog for other important information about the services that we provide and how we can assist you with biohazard clean up and handling.  Please contact our office if you need more information about a specific service or if you have a biohazard area that you need cleaned.

Why you should choose a Bio cleanup company with construction capabilities

Hiring a biohazard cleanup company with experience in construction can be a huge cost savings to the property owner. Due to the nature of the scenes being cleaned it is often necessary for a biohazard company to work directly with the contractors who perform rehab construction to ensure their safety and diminish the liability of the property owner.

Bio Scene Clean Up understands the nuances of preparing a property for re-occupation and use. Our services include some rehab construction and we have partnered with contractors who are professionally trained to follow all OSHA guidelines.

We pre-clean the areas of crime, trauma, death and suicide scenes as well as work place accidents and other biohazard scenes in effort to assess what type of construction needs to be performed.  We ensure the site to be safe for contractors to complete the necessary rehab of the property and then complete a thorough clean up after the contractors have completed to ensure that the property is safe, decontaminated and ready for occupancy or use.

Construction waste also contains the same types of biohazards found in the scenes we clean and they must be handled, removed and disposed of properly in order to ensure safety and compliance with state and federal regulations. As a party responsible for the cleanup and removal of these materials, there are strict regulations that must be followed, permits that need to be obtained and special tools and equipment necessary to ensure the safety and well being of everyone involved in the rehab and remediation of the property.

It’s a difficult task that should not be attempted by an untrained individual and is far from a DIY project. It is very difficult to hire a contractor that is unfamiliar with these processes to come in and rehab your property. This is why we suggest that you always hire a biohazard cleaning company like Bio Scene Clean Up who has experience in bot.

Contact our office to learn more about blood clean up, biohazard cleaning management and other services that we provide.

Why the costs of Murder and Violent Crime Scene Cleanup are expensive.

If someone dies as a result of a violent crime, murder or suicide in a residence or place of business, the burden of clean up typically falls on the property owner. Obviously this is a traumatic task that few people are willing to undertake themselves. But why are the costs for cleanup of these scenes so expensive?

Biohazard cleanup companies like Bio Scene Clean Up guarantee the scene will be restored to it’s original pre-incident state after the victim has been removed from the scene.  There are several factors that determine the amount of time and services that our clients need. These factors are usually:
•    How long was the death unattended
•    Where it happened
•    What type of scene it is (How it happened)
•    What elements are in the scene where it occurred

If the body was in a decomposing state when removed, the cleanup is even more challenging because insects move into the body after death and may still be in the scene area after the body is removed by a coroner.  It’s customary to also have body fluids, liquefied skin and organ tissues that have soaked into carpeting, flooring or other surfaces in contact with the scene. The most difficult task is generally remediation of the smell from the scene as the body will release ammonia gases that permeate these areas and can linger for months.

Our technicians are required to wear protective suits and respirators and utilize OSHA and EPA compliant chemicals to decontaminate these areas. Special equipment is used and all waste materials must be properly placed in safety sealed bags and disposed of. This usually requires obtaining permits from local officials with specific directives on how the waste is to be transported and disposed.  Sometimes, medical-waste incinerators need to be used for this type of disposal.

Once the initial cleaning has been performed, it is necessary for Bio Scene Clean Up to inspect every detail of these scenes utilizing special instruments and equipment to search for even the smallest trace elements of contamination (not seen with the visible eye). This inspection helps determine if the scene will need our construction crews to remove flooring, walls, insulation or other structural materials in effort to ensure proper cleaning for the safety of our clients.

As you can see from just a few short paragraphs, bio hazard cleaning and decontamination of these types of scenes is more than a simple wash down with bleach. Obtaining permits, disposal charges, and construction costs are common factors that dictate what cleanup charges will be.

Depending on the circumstances, property owners may have coverage options through property insurance policies. In this regard, most companies will provide a service that handles all the paperwork for filing a claim. If insurance coverage is not available, they can also help their clients in contacting various charitable or religious organizations that can provide financial assistance.

ODOR REMOVAL CONDISERATIONS FROM DEATH CLEAN UP

We are frequently called to clean up after an unattended death or suicide and one of the very first questions we’re always asked is, “Can you get rid of this odor completely?”  The answer is yes however, several factors will determine the amount of time and work necessary to remediate these odors and return the scene to a clean, sanitary environment.

What we’ll need to know:

 1.    Were did the death occur, and what elements are directly connected to the death scene?  For instance, did the person die in a bed, on a carpeted floor, in a bathtub or a car?  Death clean up requires decontamination of furniture, flooring, fabrics and virtually any porous surfaces related to the scene.  In certain cases, it may also be necessary to remove and replace walls, ceilings, sub flooring and possibly insulation.

2.    How long has it been since the death occurred? If the death was an accident, suicide or an elderly person and not discovered immediately, the cleanup process is more entailed as most likely decomposition has started. We would need to follow specific cleaning processes using chemicals, antimicrobial cleaners and ozone or neutralizing agents. Ozone is commonly used in death cleanup because of it’s quick reaction to carbon based molecules associated with death odors. It’s a highly useful tool but not a guarantee that it will completely get rid of the odor.

At Bioscene Clean Up, we take every measure to safe and effectively remediate these scenes with as minimal disruption as possible. Our cleanup technicians are trained to provide our clients with the emotional support needed during these types of tasks. The unattended death of a friend or loved one is never something that anyone is prepared to handle. The emotions and questions that are brought on by this tragic event can make it difficult to determine what to do next.

Our goal is to offer clients the assurance that our work will completely restore the scene to a pre-incident condition and we are dedicated to the protection and safety of our clients. Hiring the proper cleanup company is difficult, after we analyze the scene, we provide a full plan of action and work directly with our clients through each step of the process.  Contact us today for more information about the services we offer.

Fact: Auto Suicides and Accidents DO Contain Dangerous Bio-Hazards

Sadly, automobiles are a very common place for suicides. Even what seems to be a simple auto accident can cause contamination if there is a presence of blood and other fluids in the vehicle.  Each scenario is different and the process of cleaning and restoration can range from a simple high steam cleaning of the fabrics to a complex disassemble of the interior and replacement of affected components.

Vehicles that contain blood saturation most always need to be brought to the BioScene Clean Up facility where our team of professionals can dismantle the components in a clean, safe environment, properly clean and disinfect the areas and install the new replacement components to restore the vehicle to a safe condition.

Contrary to beliefs, you cannot simply extract blood using steam extraction methods.  Fabric areas affected by blood will need to be completely replaced. If even trace amounts of blood are not removed the site will remain hazardous, cause extreme odors and most probably attract bugs & insects.

We possess and maintain all of the necessary tools and equipment in our restoration facility to access the conditions and determine what components of the vehicle need to be replaced.  We then work to remove all contaminated materials for proper disposal and complete the restoration to a pre-incident condition.

Another misconception pertaining to accidents are contaminants found on a vehicles exterior.  Frequently, these accidents involve pedestrians and animals and can leave behind huge amounts of bio-hazardous contaminants on and underneath the vehicle.  These incidents must be handled the same way as an interior restoration and a full assessment must be made to determine the proper methods of cleaning.

BioScene Clean Up always suggests that you never attempt to clean a vehicle that contains these types of materials.  If proper procedures are not taken to restore the vehicle, it is often times extremely difficult for a professional to restore components that have been improperly cleaned or disinfected.  This leads to additional costs and replacement of components that may not be necessary if assessed and performed by a professional immediately after the accident.

Contact our offices today for more information on how BioScene Clean Up can help you properly clean your accident vehicle.
