Occupational Accidents & Biohazards

Bio Scene Clean Up provides cleanup services for death, trauma, crime, suicide and other biohazards in Florida.  When most people hear about these types of incidents, they almost always relate them to a person’s home. Occupational accidents and biohazard cleanup are a large amount of the jobs our company performs.  The fact is, Americans are busier now than ever before and it seems the largest portion of a person’s day is where they work. Almost every industry or workplace has the potential for dangerous accidents or biohazard incidents that can affect everyone in the workplace.  We provide industrial cleanup services that help protect others in the workplace when incidents occur.

From heavy equipment accidents, slip and falls and even workplace suicides, our technicians are licensed and trained to provide professional, discreet biohazard cleanup and removal.  When workplace accidents occur in most cases we see the presence of blood, bodily fluids and other materials that can be harmful to everyone in a workplace if not properly cleaned and sanitized.  We follow strict guidelines set by OSHA for the cleanup and removal of all biohazard materials and our teams disinfect and sanitize all affected areas returning them to a safe environment for others.

Our training and experience in the biohazard cleanup industry has helped train us to deal with the emotional trauma that is associated with most of these incidents. We work discreetly to remediate the scenes and are professional and compassionate in dealing with the individuals directly involved to ensure their privacy and safety.

Bio Scene Clean Up maintains all permits and certifications necessary for biohazard handling and our services help diminish the liabilities for property and business owners. We suggest that anyone faced with the cleanup of a biohazard incident employ a professional company. If these scenes are improperly cleaned and proper protocol is not followed, business and property owners may be liable for improper disposal and any health or safety issues that can arise after an incident scene is improperly cleaned.  Contact our office today for complete details on the work that we perform and how we can assist you in the proper cleanup of your biohazard scenes.

Industrial Accidents and What Employers and Owners Should Know

Many American businesses run smoothly each and every day but if you own an industrial business you can expect at some point to be faced with some sort of severe accident, trauma or death in the workplace.  Bio Scene Clean Up provides cleaning for these types of industrial incidents all through the State of Florida.

Due to the liability, rigid regulations and most of all the emotional trauma when these accidents happen, a professional cleanup company like Bio Scene Clean Up should always be hired to clean the accident scene.  Most workplace or industrial accidents take place in areas that directly affect other employees or in some instances the general public.  If the accident scene is not professionally remediated by a certified biohazard cleaning company and someone’s health is compromised as a result of inadequate cleanup, the property owner or it’s tenant may be liable.

As with any incident that involves blood, tissue, bodily fluids and other biohazards, it is critical that the scene be cleaned following protocols set by State and local authorities for removal and disposal.  These types of pathogens may be disturbed if improperly cleaned causing them to become airborne where they may possibly be ingested by others in certain proximity to the incident scene.  Depending on the circumstances, these biohazard materials could carry infectious diseases that are life threatening or fatal to those who are exposed.

If you are the responsible party for the cleanup and it’s determined that you did not adequately remediate the incident scene, you can be liable for any person(s) who are affected.  Our staff of certified biohazard technicians are available 24 hours a day for immediate response dispatch. In the event that you experience any type of industrial or workplace accidents where other personnel are involved, call the appropriate emergency response personnel, evacuate the area of the incident and contact our office immediately to schedule cleanup.

After emergency personnel or authorities leave, there is most always waste, tissue, blood and other substances left behind.  Rarely do emergency personnel take the time to alert you of potential hazards or who to call to handle the cleanup.  We suggest that all business and industrial companies maintain an emergency checklist of who to contact as soon as an incident occurs.

The unknown dangers of transitioning from high school to college

The time is quickly approaching for the Graduating Class of 2014 High School Students to transition to college life.  Whether they're traveling across the country or just across town to attend their chosen campus, their previously safe and sanitary environment will become vulnerable to many of the biohazards that public life affords.  Bio Scene Clean Up provides biohazard cleaning in the entire State of Florida.

One of 5 college women are raped during their college years according to the CDC’s 2012 statistics.  Most survivors of sexual assaults are full time students.  Approximately 1/3 of the survivors are 1st year students between the ages of 17-19.  Left behind are invisible organisms for which a Biohazard clean-up is required. Colleges across the state are often faced with contracting a biohazard company like  Bio Scene Clean Up to remediate these scenes. We employ technicians who are experienced in all aspects of biohazard clean-up professionally and discretely.

An equally serious scenario under which Biohazard teams are imperative is the cleanup of microbes left behind after an unruly campus party.  The inappropriate, unintentional discharge of a biohazard, such as urine, fecal matter or other bodily fluid,  are significant health concerns. These scenes pose an immediate health risk to anyone who may come in contact.  Bodily fluid cleanup must be immediately addressed, to ensure the health and safety of all students. The liability of  universities must be  diminished. We are familiar with state and local regulations and OSHA guidelines and provide certified remediation services to ensure proper cleanup protocol.

If you have children planning to attend a university for the first time, we urge you to discuss these potential dangers.  If you are a member of a university administration please contact our office for additional information on the services we offer and areas we cover.  We maintain  24 hour emergency dispatch  for immediate response to your biohazard needs.

Tampa Bay “Dive Against Debris” March 15th

Bioscene Clean Up offers Florida crime, trauma, death and even suicide clean up services.  We also provide hoarding, meth-lab and biohazard clean up services in effort to keep our Tampa Bay family and friends safe and biohazard free.

As residents of Tampa Bay, we often forget about the need for clean up and debris removal from our gulf waters.  As part of an ongoing effort to protect our ocean planet, Project Aware is helping support the Tampa Bay Watch’s Great American Cleanup 2014 at the Ft Desoto Bay Pier on March 15, 2014.

These organizations are in need of volunteers for this Diving Event.  All divers should be advanced open water divers with verifiable dives of at least 15 in their log book.  You can find more information on this event at TampaBayGreenConsortium.org or ProjectAware.org .

As a company providing critical services for biohazard clean up in the Tampa Bay area, we appreciate the efforts of other organizations who help keep our oceans clean and safe for all to enjoy. We urge anyone, if able, to take part in this great event.

We would like to personally show our appreciation to Scott Lucci (World of Water, Incorporated), Anette Monroe (Gulfport Dive Center), and Al Jeffrey (Scuba Quest) who have graciously offered to provide tanks (or air) and dive gear for those who need it, if available.

If you find yourself in need of biohazard clean up services, please contact our office immediately to learn more about how we restore biohazard scenes to a clean, safe environment.
