Trauma Scene Clean up in Tampa, FL

The police, fire and other rescue departments play a crucial part in handling the many tasks after a death or suicide.  These crucial professionals however, do not clean up the trauma scene. Trauma-scene clean up is a niche market within the cleaning industry and many clean up steps following a trauma must adhere to strict regulations for handling decontamination and materials.

Special equipment, chemicals and materials are necessary when performing this type of clean up as it involves dangerous and most often contaminated materials that cannot be cleaned up using conventional house cleaning methods. Depending on the location of the trauma scene, different precautionary practices become applicable to ensure safety.

Some different types of Trauma Scene Clean Up can be:

• Death Clean Up  (Resulting from natural death, an accident or a violet trauma such as murder)
• Suicide Clean Up
• Biohazard Clean Up (Clean up of blood and other hazardous wastes, meth labs and other chemically contaminated scenes)

Bio Scene Clean Up offers these cleaning services and more.  With offices located in Tampa, FL and St. Petersburg, FL they are able to offer 24 hour and emergency services.

Since families of crime and trauma victims typically do not leave the home after this occurs, our job is to remove any sign of what happened and any biohazard materials that may be present from the incident.  These biohazard items are materials such as blood or tissues at a crime scene, bodily fluid removal and waste associated with the clean up.

It is definitely not advised for family members or friends of family to attempt cleaning these scenes.  Often times with trauma and death scenes specifically, there are specific protocols that must be practiced in order to ensure the safety of yourself and others.  Special permits are required for handling these materials and substances and intense training should be completed by the professional who performs the clean up.  Bio Scene Clean Up is certified to performs these and many other types of clean up.  For more information about what we do preview our SERVICES.  We realize in the midst of these incidents that it’s a very difficult time for families and people associated with incidents.  We are professions, compassionate and willing to help you restore these scenes to before incident conditions.  CONTACT US for more information on how we can be of service to you.

Can odor from death be removed completely?

Bio Scene Clean Up provides clean up services after death, crimes and suicide. One of the very first questions we’re always asked is, “Can you get rid of this odor completely?”  The answer is yes however, several factors will determine the amount of time and work necessary to remediate these odors and return the scene to a clean, sanitary environment.

What we’ll need to know:

1.  Where did the death occur, and what elements are directly connected to the death scene?  For instance, did the person die in a bed, on a carpeted floor, in a bathtub or a car?  Death clean up requires decontamination of furniture, flooring, fabrics and virtually any porous surfaces related to the scene.  In certain cases, it may also be necessary to remove and replace walls, ceilings, sub-flooring and possibly insulation. Weather conditions also may affect the scene depending on temperatures and other factors.

2.  How long has it been since the death occurred? If the death was an accident, suicide or an elderly person and not discovered immediately, the cleanup process is more entailed as most likely decomposition has started. We would need to follow specific cleaning processes using chemicals, antimicrobial cleaners and ozone or neutralizing agents. Ozone is commonly used in death cleanup because of its quick reaction to carbon based molecules associated with death odors. It’s a highly useful tool but not a guarantee that it will completely get rid of the odor.

Bio Scene Clean Up takes every measure possibly to safely and effectively remediate these scenes with as minimal disruption as possible. Our cleanup technicians are trained to provide our clients with the emotional support needed during these types of tasks. The unattended death of a friend or loved one is never something that anyone is prepared to handle. The emotions and questions that are brought on by this tragic event can make it difficult to determine what to do next.

Our goal is to offer clients the assurance that our work will completely restore the scene to a pre-incident condition and we are dedicated to the protection and safety of our clients. Hiring the proper cleanup company is difficult, after we analyze the scene, we provide a full plan of action and work directly with our clients through each step of the process.  Contact us today for more information about the services we offer.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides blood and biohazard cleanup for victims or families of assaults, crimes and even death. Our technicians are specifically trained to find and remove any traces of biohazard materials including blood from the areas associated with these assaults. Depending on the type of assault determines the proper cleaning techniques that must be performed.  Never attempt to clean these types of areas without proper training and equipment as you may find yourself liable for fines or worse if the health of someone else is compromised as a result of inadequate cleanup and biohazard disposal.

Crime Scene Cleanup Services

Bio Scene Clean Up provides Florida Crime Scene Cleaning and the removal of biohazards and waste. As we’ve stated in previous posts, the site of a messy death poses severe danger that you can’t always visually see. Blood-borne pathogens from these scenes can cause infections affect someone for months or years later if not properly cleaned and decontaminated.

Depending on the severity of the death scene, clean up can range from only a couple of hours to 40 or more hours.  The Bio Scene Clean Up technicians have to make certain that the areas are truly clean and properly disinfected, not just apparently clean on the surface. This is equally true of crime scenes, unattended and decomposing death scenes or suicides.

After death, the body swells, insects invade the body, organs self digest and the skin becomes liquefied.  Decomposing bodies expel ammonia gases that create an intense, unforgettable odor. Proper precautions need to be taken in cleaning of these scenes so pathogens are not ingested and the person cleaning the scene doesn’t come into direct contact with any substances or infectious remains.  It is not suggested that a family member, friend or any untrained professional attempt to clean this type of scene.

Bio Scene Clean Up technicians utilize hospital grade disinfectant to clean blood, matter and other materials from walls, ceilings, surfaces, fixtures and any contents contained in the affected area. This also can include the removal of blood-soaked carpeting and rugs, walls, flooring, furniture and any porous components that these bio-hazards cannot be removed from.  Special permits must be obtained and special handling for the disposal of these items must be adhered to.  These are not tasks that an ordinary individual would know.  You cannot simply discard these materials in a dumpster or trash bin because of the potential risk of infection to others, or possibly death not to mention the legal ramifications and fines from authorities if it’s discovered.

Contact a Bio Scene Clean Up representative today for specific information on how we can be of assistance with your Crime, Death or biohazard clean up.
