Who are Crime Scene Cleaners ?

Who is responsible for the cleanup of Crime, Death, Trauma, Suicide and other Biohazard scenes is often not thought about.  We all see the news or hear about these victims and sometimes horrific things happening, but the thought of who actually cleans up or decontaminates these types of scenes is not thought about.

Who are these people? What are their lives like? And How do they do this type of work? Are the questions that may come to mind when reading this article.  Bio Scene Clean Up is trained in the clean up and decontamination of these types of biohazards, returning the scene to the normal state it was prior to the incident occurring.

For over a decade, we’ve been responsible for cleaning thousands of scenes ranging from suicide, gunshots, stabbings, violent home intrusions, vehicular accidents and even jail cells or police cars that contain blood, urine, feces and other biohazards. We are specifically trained in the removal, cleaning, disinfecting and sometimes remodeling that is necessary to restore these scenes.  After authorities and medical personnel are gone, it’s typically the property owners responsibility to clean up the aftermath of the incident.  As we’ve discussed in previous articles, this poses a significant health threat to the person cleaning and also those around or in contact with a contaminated scene. Special precautions must be followed, equipment used and waste properly disposed (often times with special permits) in order to ensure the safety of all involved.

Bio Scene Clean Up offers professional, compassionate services that aide property owners in cleaning and remediation of any form of biohazard. Our trained technicians can assist property owners with the necessary paperwork for insurance claims and can provide remodeling services for scenes that require physical elements to be permanently removed from a location. We have experience working in maximum security environments and are skilled at minimizing the visual exposure to onlookers or public when necessary.

Biohazard technicians that clean these types of scenes for a living are unique individuals who are passionate about helping clients through a very traumatic time. They are dedicated in restoring scenes to safe environments and protecting the people involved.  These cleaners see sometimes horrible scenes and visually experience things that no one should ever have to see.  Every technician is different and deals with the afterthoughts of their job in different ways. In many ways they are just like everyone else, but in their own way are often quiet in nature, reserved and don’t talk about the work that they do. It’s hard not to have emotional challenges when seeing some of the scenes that require our services but in most cases the desire to help our clients through the trauma and return their lives to some form of normalcy helps negate their emotional states.

Is there a common connection in Bankers committing suicide?

In the 1930’s bankers who committed suicide were commonly known as “jumpers” as the fought to maintain the pressures of failing businesses. It’s the same cliché today, so is there a common connection? Large public polls show that the general population are angry at large banks who were bailed out during our economic collapse (much like they are at congress).

Most bankers start their career at a very early age and fight to rise to the top of their industry. If they only knew that their rise to the top only numbered their days.  It’s a stressful and very volatile position that can take its toll on the mental state of mind of these professionals, and the common and unfortunate end result seems to be suicide.

Bio Scene Clean Up gets calls to perform the clean up and bio-hazardous remediation in scenes like this frequently.  Suicides (accidents in the workplace) are more common than anyone would imagine. Our technicians are experienced in trauma, death, suicide and murder / crime scenes.  From blood removal, to clean up of bodily fluids and matter, we perform these tasks discreetly and with the utmost confidentiality. We realize the importance of restoring these scenes and getting the area back to a normal, functioning condition as soon as possible.  It’s an emotional time and we work diligently to provide expedient services that do not impede the normal business activities.

These cases are all sad and tragic incidents and Bio Scene Clean Up is experienced in working with authorities and professionals in work places to help keep the trauma of co-workers or co-tenants to a minimum, while resorting the accident scenes.  We provide 24 hour, 7 day per week emergency dispatch to these types of scenes.

Because of the recent rise of suspected and know suicides among banking executives, we have to wonder what the direct relating cause is.  Recently, more and more larger financial institutions have insisted on executives taking more time off and providing better working conditions and benefits for their employees. Our company is always disturbed by receiving calls to scenes of such promising, often very young victims of suicide.

For more information on suicide preventions, please refer to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.  Contact our office for more information about the services we provide and how we can help.

Crimes in our local Florida cities can be chilling and in certain instances turn deadly for victims. The ironic part is that most crimes, even severe ones start out with a stupid idea and a dumb criminal who never intended for the crime to become violent.

Florida has seen it’s fair share of stupid crimes lately from a man hiding in a freezer to rob a local Checkers restaurant to a burglar found trapped in a pizza oven vent begging for help.  These crimes are bizarre and happened to end without incident, but some victims of crime are not always that fortunate.

Bio Scene Clean Up receives frequent calls to clean up and remediate biohazard crime scenes. Some violent, and others drug related or just destructive. No matter the case our company offers crime and trauma scene clean up services. We are experienced at blood and biohazard clean up and removal. We are perform disinfecting and debris removal from crime scenes that are left with huge messes.
Bio Scene Clean Up works with police and local authorities to ensure the property owners safety and restoration is done according to state and federal regulations.  We have 7 day per week -  24 hour emergency dispatch to service our Florida communities. If you or someone you know are responsible for cleaning a crime scene, we suggest that you always hire a professional company who is trained to clean these scenes.  There are several elements of crime scenes that may contain contaminants that are harmful to you and without proper precaution you are placing yourself and others at risk.

If you are not familiar with regulations and permits pertaining to these types of cleanup jobs, you may find yourself facing stiff penalties for not following proper protocol.  Certain insurance policies pay for professional clean up of these scenes and there are other organizations who may be able to assist if you are the victim of a crime. Bio Scene Clean Up is familiar with these processes and can assist you with the documentation required to file a claim or in reaching out to organizations who may be able to assist you.

Violent home invasions and the trauma scenes that can be left behind

Home invasions are bad enough, but when the event turns violent, can leave behind horrible trauma scenes. Home invasions turned violent can include things like stabbings, blood and tissue matter from fighting and in the worst cases even death.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides services for crime, death and trauma scene clean up. We are experienced in blood clean up, removal of biohazard elements like blood  stained materials, body fluids and tissues from death scenes and home renovations that may be necessary to return the scene to a decontaminated safe area for the property owner.  Our company also provides additional services that relate to drug clean up and decontamination for incidents relating to this matter.

Ordinarily, when these types of crimes and traumas happen, it is the responsibility of the property owner to clean up the mess of the disaster left behind. Depending on the incident, there are organizations that assist with the costs of cleaning and remediating these scenes. Some insurance companies also pay for these services.

Bio Scene Clean Up has experience in working with these agencies and insurance companies to help the process go smoother.  We also realize that these traumatic events can be emotionally overwhelming to our clients. We provide discreet professional services and have the utmost compassion when dealing with victims and their families.  Because of the potential dangers and diseases that can be transmitted through cleaning these scenes, it’s important that you hire a professional company to perform these tasks. With every scene, there are trace elements of contamination and even airborne pathogens that can cause serious illness and sometimes be fatal if not handled properly.

We maintain the appropriate equipment and qualifications to perform these services and are accustomed to following OSHA and EPA guidelines on the jobs we perform.  We are also familiar with obtaining the necessary permits for disposal and other tasks that may need to be performed depending on where the incident occurs.  If you are in need of our services or would like additional information about the services we perform, please contact our office today.

Domestic Violence in Florida – Some things you should know

In this line of work we often get calls for biohazard clean up where there was a presence of domestic violence.  Over the past decade the amount of domestic violence cases has drastically increased and the severity of these crimes often ends in a tragic death that could have possibly been avoided.

If you know someone who is a victim of domestic violence or are a victim yourself, there are resources that can help. Agencies like Florida Department of Children and Families and the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence have programs that can help victims of domestic violence.  There is a common misconception that domestic violence only happens against women. These cases can include children and men who are involved in volatile, abusive relationships.  These agencies have programs that can offer assistance, counseling, emergency housing and other services. There are also legal representatives that can assist you in the process of taking legal action as a victim.

Bio Scene Clean Up provides biohazard clean up from these types of crimes, death, suicide and other accident scenes.  Anytime there is a presence of blood and other matter that needs to be remediated from these scenes, you should always protect yourself and the health of all people involved by hiring a certified cleanup company to properly clean up these biohazards.  Sadly, many domestic violence cases turn into violet murder crimes or suicide scenes and these are the most common scenes we are hired for.

We provide information like this in effort to promote stopping domestic violence in Florida.  If you or someone you know needs help, we urge you to contact the appropriate agencies for your safety.  Domestic violence charges in Florida carry stiff penalties and most all cases involve imprisonment. If you are reading this article and feel as though you are in a situation that is even “questionable” contact the agencies above today. If you are a victim and in need of our services, please contact our office for more information on our biohazard clean up services and other resources to help.
